Information we collect

We collect information you give us, including:

  • Name, email, phone, tour date, guest count, and notes when you book or message us in the chat widget
  • Phone number when you opt in to SMS through the optional marketing checkbox in the chat widget
  • Messages you send through the chat widget
  • Basic device and log data (browser type, pages viewed) used to run the site

How we use information

We use this information to:

  • Confirm and operate booked tours
  • Reply to questions
  • Send promotional and marketing text messages only if you give express written consent through a separate, optional checkbox
  • Improve our website and customer service

Booking a tour or asking a question is not consent to marketing texts. Marketing SMS is optional and separate from transactional messages about a booking you already requested.

SMS program

TRU Local Tours sends promotional and marketing messages to users who explicitly consent via a separate, optional marketing checkbox within the website chat widget at https://trulocaltours.grok.me. Messages may include special offers, discounts, event promotions, and service announcements. Marketing messages are only sent after express written consent is provided and are not combined with transactional consent.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help. For help you may also email [email protected] or call (808) 201-2207.

Sharing

We do not sell leads, buy leads, or share SMS opt-in information with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing. We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the site, chat widget, and SMS delivery (including LeadConnector / HighLevel for the chat widget)
  • Carriers and messaging platforms needed to send texts you opted into
  • Authorities if required by law

Those providers may process your information only to provide services to TRU Local Tours.

Retention

We keep booking and SMS consent records as long as needed to run the business, honor opt-outs, and meet legal requirements. If you reply STOP, we stop marketing texts to that number.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to opt out of marketing SMS
  • Reply HELP for SMS help
  • Email [email protected] to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, subject to records we must keep

Children

Our website and SMS program are for adults booking travel. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 for marketing.
